Frozen moment

I guess the shutter curtain was slowed down, resulting in overexposure.

A moment meant to be frozen in time, Harry and partner GaryJoe, at the starting line Saturday morning in Ikirasaapiks, give a different result because of a camera malfunction, obviously from being half frozen.  For photo experts, reading the exif information of the photo file – iso 100, f22, 1/80sec, (under a sunny sky) – the photo should have been dead on !  I guess the shutter curtain was slowed down, resulting in overexposure.

But I still really like the resulting photo !

  1. Bonjour Pierre, j’aime toutes tes photos, et celle-ci en particulier, où l’attention, le focus, se concentre exclusivement sur les personnages, avec Harry et sa jambe sur le qamutik. Un sens du dramatique!

    Salutations À Claire!

  2. Emotions surface to see Harry and GaryJo ready to drive the sled dogs to a day end of 87kms. The Pierre Dunnigan photo is real life and many years past the respected William Notman 🙂
