The annual Ivakkak dogteam race in Nunavik will run between Kuujjuarapik and Puvirnituq this year, starting March 16.
The race is organized by Makivik Corporation’s renewable resource department.
Michael Gordon, vice-president of Makivik Corporation, says final details are being drafted and will be sent to communities soon.
“It’s 601 km from Kuujjuarapik to Puvirnituq, that’s according to the maps and trail that the race will follow.”
