It was a great day of travelling for the teams, the improved snow conditions made for a much steadier pace allowing them to travel a total of 68km.
This is a big improvement over the previous days, where the teams on average would travel about 45km, and in some cases with teams only making it into camp after dark.
That definitely wasn’t the case today, the final team made it into camp at 4:30 pm leaving plenty of time for everyone to get their camps set for the night.
The teams will make the final push into Akulivik tomorrow. This leg will be about 41km of running for the dogs, if they maintain the same pace they had today they will be in Akulivik in no time!A great day of travelling for all teams
